About Jilin Province Jilin Province is located in the middle of the northeastern area of China. The province extends a maximum distance of approx. 750 km east-west and 600 km north-south. It covers an area of 187,400 square kilometers or 2% of China's total land area (about half the size of Japan).
About Dunhua city Dunhua City is situated at the intersection of the road linking Changchun City and Yanji City and the road linking Mudanjiang City and Baishan City. The Changbai Mountains are approx. 150 km south of Dunhua City. Yanji City is approx. 140 km east of Dunhua City. And Haeba-ling is 43 km southeast of Dunhua City.
Climate The annual average rainfall in the surrounding area of Dunhua City is about 640 mm. The highest monthly average temperature is recorded in July at 25.1 degrees Celsius, and the lowest is January at minus 23.6 degrees Celsius. The winter in the region is long and severely cold.
